Tasked with bringing the council's adopted design and vision to life, Ted and his team set about clearing the site, preparing the foundations and installing a new water supply and drainage systems. Where possible we re-used as many materials from the initial demolition as possible.

Civil works included the construction of timber retaining walls to support the installation's features, followed by the installation of a “bubble-fountain” that flows into a river shaped channel. Textured pavers (for grip) were utilised to cope with the significant foot traffic expected by the children’s interactive play equipment, blended into planted and grassed areas for a natural feel.

Outcome

Ted engaged with neighbouring businesses and the community throughout every stage of the project, keeping them well informed and engaged with the project.
